Lantana is located about a 30 minute drive to the Dallas Fort Worth airport, 1-hour to downtown Dallas, and 45 minutes to downtown Fort Worth. It’s adjacent to Argyle, Bartonville, Highland Village and Denton. 

The developer took inspiration from the Texas Hill Country when designing Lantana - from the landscaping to the flowers and stone walls. Lantana features a private golf course and golf club, 2 Junior Olympic sized pools and 3 additional neighborhood swimming pools, water spray park, several playgrounds, 2 fitness centers, tennis and basketball courts, an amenity center, and new community events center. Lantana has tons of community events including concerts and festivals at the Town Green - the heart  of the community, Spring festival, community garage sales, the Lantana 5k and groups for bunko, book club, the Lantana Ladies League, gardening group and lots of others. There are also 300 acres of open space for hiking and biking trails. 

Currently Lantana has four on-site schools, including 3 elementary schools which are EP Rayzor, Dr. Annie Blanton & Dorothy P Adkins, and then the Tom Harpool Middle school. The high school students are served by Guyer High. All under the Denton independent school district. 

The HOA fees include a security system & monitoring, the community intranet website, front yard maintenance and basic cable television in most neighborhoods. 

Lantana is currently home to 9400 residents. There are 3400 homes in 32 neighborhoods, each with their own character, on about 1800 acres. There are four home builders - Coventry, Highland Homes, Lennar & Newport - still building within Lantana. Lot sizes range from typical lot size of .13 up to ¼ and ⅓ of an acre.Home prices range from $350,000 up to $1.7 Million as of 2021. 

Lantana is serviced by Denton County District, and 2 freshwater supply districts, as well as Argyle Fire Department and the Denton County Sheriff’s Department. 

Something unique about Lantana is that the developers created Lantana Education Foundation which provides for activities and infrastructure that directly benefits Lantana. This foundation is funded by ½ of 1% of the sale of all real estate sold within Lantana.
