Top 3 Fit Communities in Denton County
It's that time of year when many of us turn our focus to health and getting fit.
There are quite a few communities within Denton County that offer hiking and biking trails or community pools. But I've found the Top 3 Fit Communities in Denton County that definitely beat the norm!
Situated partly in Denton and partly in Corinth, the Oakmont community is actually made up of several neighborhoods that have access to the Oakmont Country Club. The club has recently been renovated and offers a fitness center, driving range, swimming pool, and 18-hole golf course.

The Harvest community is a newer community in Argyle, and offers something a bit different in the way of helping you in your quest for 'fit'. Besides the resort pools, the 1.5-mile Central Park features a half-court basketball, built-in games like Giant Connect 4, Giant Chess, washers, goat ring toss, ladder golf, and horseshoes.
There's plenty of space for soccer and baseball as well. The thing that makes it stand out the most is their community gardens. Homeowners can rent their own raised garden beds to raise organic foods they can eat daily. A workout facility and Yoga Lawn are being added in 2017.
